Biking
Wasatch County is home to over 1,000 miles of bike trails through varied types of topography. Within just a few minutes of downtown Heber, you can find yourself pedaling through single-track and dirt trails, over forest glades and sprawling mountain hillsides.

Boating
Deer Creek Reservoir is the place to be when temperatures warm up in Midway. It is a short 5 minute drive to some of the greatest boating, water skiing and wakeboarding in the State of Utah as featured in Wakeboarding Magazine as one of the hottest spots to ride in the west. Let professional riders take you out on the lake for a day of fun in the sun or rent a high quality wakeboard boat from Mastercraft. Rent everything from boats to Wave Runners and all of the equipment to go with them.

Historic Heber Valley Railroad
Chugging out of the past, the 100-year old Heber Creeper travels its scenic route along the Heber Valley Historic Railroad. Board a 1907 steam locomotive and ride the rails on an assortment of passenger vintage cars, absorbing the breathtaking vistas along the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir and the panoramas of the Provo Canyon
Scenic Byway.

Hiking
A multitude of hiking trails set the stage for the perfect day-hike where terrain varies from a steep climb up Mount Timpanogos to an easy stroll along the shores of Deer Creek Reservoir. There are marked trailheads jut off major roadways throughout the area, and just a stone’s throw from Heber Valley you will find several lower elevation trails which offer easy to moderate mountain hikes.
Extending from Park City to Echo, the Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail offers 28 miles of scenic and historic trails on the old Union Pacific railroad corridor.
Located on the outskirts of Wasatch Mountain State Park, Cascade Springs offers boardwalks and trails meandering through the remarkable springs discharging over seven million gallons of water daily.

Soldier Hollow features a full service Rossignol Demo Center with both skate and classic equipment rentals, a Ski School that specializes in Learner Packages and scenic tours.
Park City
Established as a mining community in the late 1800’s, Park City is still steeped in silver mining tradition. The flavor of the "silver rush" lingers throughout the city in renovated miner’s shacks made over into ski lodges. Park City moved into the limelight as the host to a number of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games venues. Park City’s quaint mountain village appeals to visitors from all over the world who come to participate in winter and summer pastimes.
Park City is located at 6,900 feet above sea level and rises to an excess of 10,000 feet. Famous for its snow, which tops the charts with well over 350 inches, Park City has three unique, world-class ski resorts within five miles of each other (Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort and The Canyons Resort). But as a year-round recreation "hot spot," the choices in entertainment and attractions, art and cultural events, and athletic and leisurely activities are limitless.

Snow Tubing
Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah.
The hill has lengthy 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes.
Soldier Hollow
For Nordic ski enthusiasts, the mountains and valleys of Wasatch County offer some of the area’s best cross-country skiing destinations. At Soldier Hollow, more than 16 miles of groomed cross-country trails provide winter recreation opportunities for first-timers, crossover downhill skiers, and expert skiers. Soldier Hollow was named “Best Venue” for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games by USA today. Once the snow melts, trails are open to hikers. The scenery is astounding, particularly in the fall, when autumn-colored leaves peek on branches in full brilliancy.
Timpanogos' Cave National Monument
Timpanogos' Cave National Monument located 2 miles up American Fork Canyon east of Alpine conceals three limestone caverns connected by man-made tunnels. A steep 1.5 mile hike leads to the cave’s entrance 1,000 feet above the canyon bottom.
Wasatch Mountain State Park
Wasatch Mountain State Park is surrounded by Utah’s beautiful Wasatch Mountains and provides a summer and winter dreamscape to suit a varied range of pursuits and activities. Located two miles northwest of Midway, visitors will find opportunities for camping, picnicking, golfing on two-award winning 18-hole courses, hiking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and all-terrain vehicle riding.
Water Sports
Three reservoirs in Heber Valley offer a variety of opportunities for the avid fisherman, boaters and water skiers. Strawberry Reservoir, 30 miles east of Heber via Hwy 40; Deer Creek Reservoir, at the top of Provo Canyon in the Heber Valley; and Jordanelle Reservoir, between Park City and Heber are open to all types of boats and personal watercraft.
Deer Creek Reservoir: Situated in the southwest corner of the illustrious Heber Valley, Deer Creek Reservoir State Park explodes with the kaleidoscopic-colored sails of water-sport enthusiasts. This reservoir is a popular site for boating, sail boating, windsurfing, swimming and sunbathing.
Jordanelle Reservoir: Jordanelle State Park is Utah’s newest and most developed state park stretching between the picturesque mountain landscape of Park City and Heber City.
Strawberry Reservoir: Strawberry Reservoir is Utah's premier trout fishery. It offers consistently good action for large rainbow and cutthroat trout and kokanee salmon. Rainbows and cutts up to 24 inches are caught regularly, and larger fish show up occasionally. The largest cutthroat ever caught in Utah was taken here in 1930. It weighed 27 pounds.
White Water Rafting
Enjoy the beauty and excitement of riding the rapids of the Weber River. Offering two hour, mild whitewater trips (Class II-III) using high quality paddle assist rafts - the guide uses oars while you assist with the paddles (if desired). Full day tours include lunch and are available from mid-May through mid-September.
