Best Kept Secret – Schneitter’s
Nestled in the heart of Midway, this enchanting old-world retreat brings a taste of European flavor to the Rocky Mountains. Colorful decor adds to its European ambiance with traditional wood paneling, lead pane windows and hand-painted murals on the ceilings. The menu adds true European flavor to each event, featuring steak, seafood and dessert options from onsite restaurants, including Schneitter's, Matty's Bistro and the Backerei & Eis bakery and gelato shop. Featuring more than 41,000 square feet of meeting space, the resort can serve groups of up to 500 people. This charming old-world hideaway is quickly transitioning from the new kid on the block to a Utah classic. Open for just over a year, Schneitter’s features authentic European designs, from the traditional wood paneling to the lead pane windows and hand painting on the ceilings. “If you have clients in town…take the drive to Midway and make them feel like they have jetted to Europe,” a reader said. Lavish weekend buffets include a seafood night, a prime rib night and an extravagant Sunday brunch with imported cheeses, fine wines and Alaskan king crab legs. “Ambiance galore,” said one reader. “It keeps getting better and better,” said another. The flat iron steak garnered many reader compliments, and the European desserts will soon include hand-dipped chocolates.

The result provides the authentic-yet-familiar atmosphere that pervades the entire property. Featuring more than 41,000 square feet of meeting space, Zermatt and its seasoned catering staff can serve groups of up to 800 people.
