Snowmobiling

Snowmobiling is a great way to enjoy the snow as a ski or snowboarding alternative. Heber Valley is the gateway to some of Utah’s best snowmobile areas, which include: Mirror Lake, Mill Hollow and Strawberry.

Our preferred vendor is Daniels Summit, offering a large fleet of rental machines, deep snow and an almost unlimited number of trails and play areas. The mountains around Daniels Summit provide the perfect environment for snowmobiling, for both guided and unguided rides. Located 30-40 minutes from Zermatt Utah, it is the closest location to offer such a large area to ride on — 40 miles of trails, groomed daily!

Interconnecting, groomed trails that run for miles, providing access to spectacular high mountain meadows, peaks and play areas. This is snowmobiling at its best!

Fly Fishing

Experience world-class fly fishing on the close-by Provo River. With professional and certified fly-fishing guides, your Utah fly fishing experience will be unforgettable — this is a must do adventure!

The quality and variety of fish you’ll have the opportunity to catch is one of Utah’s best-kept secrets. Whether you decide to go through Rocky Mountain Outfitters or Orvis Guide, you’ll have a truly unique fly fishing experience.

The Utah Crater

One of the unique activities within walking distance of your room is “The Crater”. This one-of-a-kind geothermal spring is hidden within a 55′ tall beehive-shaped limestone rock with waters over 65′ deep. The hole at the top of the dome lets in sunlight and fresh air while the interior stays heated by the mineral water, at a constant range of the mid 90s, for a completely unique and therapeutic soak and swim.

The Crater offers swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling, but you do not have to get wet to have a one-of-a-kind experience. Many guests just enjoy the self-guided tour, which covers the history, geology and archaeology of this remarkable natural phenomenon. You needn’t rappel through the top of the dome to enjoy all of the fun either. A tunnel was bored through the rock wall at ground level, lending easy access to custom-built decks and a soaking area where guests can enjoy the crystal-clear blue mineral water and the warmth of the crater — in or out of the water.

Horseback Riding

Our trail rides are truly unique and we’re not a nose-to-tail outfit. Our horses enjoy their jobs and perform them impeccably. Each ride is private and custom-tailored to your riding ability. If you’re a beginning or fearful rider, we have horses that will teach you and keep you safe through a willing partnership. If you’re a more advanced rider, you’ll love the freedom of wandering off the trail, or riding a more difficult trail, on a kind-minded, sure-footed horse who will listen to your every cue.

Soldier Hollow Golf

Soldier Hollow Golf Course offers a championship 36-hole complex built on the mountainside above Midway. Part of the gorgeous Wasatch Mountain State Park, Soldier Hollow was a major venue during the 2002 Winter Olympics. Two 18-hole courses named the Gold and Silver courses offer challenging play and amazing views of the Heber Valley.

The Gold Course layout sits at some of the highest elevations of the complex offering stunning views of the Heber Valley below. The Gold Course is a mountain or foothills course with significant elevation change throughout the course and dramatic elevation changes within each hole. The vegetation on the course mirrors the surrounding native area vegetation, scrub oaks and native mountain valley grasses.

The Silver Course is the tamer of the two layouts. It is an open, parkland style design. The Silver Course has slightly shorter and wider fairways. It is a par 72 that is composed of six par 5s, six par 4s and six par 3s. While flatter in elevation than the Gold, the Silver offers stunning views of Mount Timpanogos.
